WELLNESS RESOURCES FROM AVMA
AVMA offers a wide variety of wellness resources. COMPASSION FATIGUE AWARENESS PROJECT
This site has numerous resources for caregivers working in many professions. It includes links to the Professional Quality of Life (ProQOL) Self-Test and a Life Stress Self-Test to help determine if you or a colleague is highly susceptible to a stress-related illnesses. The ProQOL is the most commonly used measure of the negative and positive effects of helping others who experience suffering and trauma. The ProQOL has sub-scales for compassion satisfaction, burnout and compassion fatigue.
