Join us in our mission to be Pro-Active and Not Re-Active in Preventing, Early Diagnosing, and Treatment of diseases in all our patients. In doing all we can to ensure each of our patients receives a good quality of life and increased longevity, MVP has made Preventive Healthcare our #1 Initiative in 2020! Our goal, through a variety of resources, is to empower every member of our team, including the pet parent to understand and believe in the importance of Preventative Healthcare for our pets. We want to identify and treat emerging diseases as early as possible and before the patient is showing clinical signs so that we can reverse the disease before progression to a terminal disease.
We are in an exciting time in our profession! Through the ever-growing and amazing diagnostic innovations and artificial intelligence tools that are being developed and widely used, we are able to make customized preventive healthcare plans for each of our patients to help identify hidden and evolving diseases in ways we never could before. These customized plans will provide guidance during every visit to help improve quality of life through discussions involving the benefits of annual lab screenings for tracking trends in blood results, nutrition’s role in disease prevention, pain assessments, behavior, vector-borne diseases prevalent in our communities, zoonotic disease, the role of dental disease in a patient’s health and so much more. Thanks to the internet, our clients have come to expect from us the same approach to their pets as they receive at their own physician. These innovations and shifting demographics will help preventive wellness be the norm and we are here to help you be at the forefront of this shifting paradigm in animal health.

The Partners for Healthy Pets (PHP) website was designed by experts from AVMA, AAHA, AAVMC, NAVTA, VMAE, and others. All tools and resources are free and focus on the preventative wellness advantage to the client, as well as helping practices become more financially successful. Take a look at the PHP Toolbox Quick Start and Sharpen Your Axe Inspirational Talk by Dr. Andy Roark. This 15-minute video is a highly recommended starting point for your team and well worth watching.
