CHASING A DREAM: MVP TEAM MEMBER AND HER HUSBAND OPEN NORTHERN LIGHT CHARTERS
Submitted by Beth Eash, Practice Manager at Countryside Animal Health Center
At Countryside Animal Health Center we have been blessed to work with a dream chaser. Melissa Degraw has worked at CAHC for a span of 15 years as a Veterinarian Assistant. One night, Melissa and her husband A.J. decided to have A.J. chase a dream and become Captain of a ship. This required quitting his job and taking a leap of faith that a mentorship would lead them to a brand new life while Melissa continued to work with us. Today, Melissa, A.J. and their son Gabe run a charter out of East Tawas State Dock called Northern Lights. You can follow their journey on Facebook or visit their website https://northernlightcharters.com/. This is their first year and it will be a short season for them but hopefully a rewarding one! Northern Lights Sailing trips are 3 to 6 hours long and family run. I know the MVP family will cheer them on as they keep chasing! We are blessed to work with Melissa and get to listen to her weekend warrior stories!
